Bewick's Swan

Yesterday we had a small family of Bewick's Swans drop in for about 20 minutes. The group consisted of two adults and two juveniles. Usually here at Caerlaverock we only tend to get the odd swan dropping in, but over the last few years this has become increasinly uncommon. Other than the 2 month staying bird at th start of this year the previous one only stayed for 40 minutes. The last time more than four birds were recorded dates back as far as 28th December 2000.
