Whooper Swans

Yesterday we had 527 Whooper Swans on the reserve which is actually a RESERVE RECORD! This morning however, we had a mighty 5!

All the birds are still around the local area but are currently finding other areas to feed. This years weather have been so poor a lot of the grain in surrounding fields have split onto the floor leading to excess feed elsewhere. Due to this we are sadly having very limited numbers coming to our feeds. Birds do however, come in to roost on the Folly Pond but at first light they head off to the local stubble fields.
