Wood & Green Sandpipers
There are now 2 Wood Sandpipers on site both were on view from Ron Barker hide late afternoon, also now at least 9 Green Sandpiper present, also the juvenile Greenshank still on view from UU Hide. Increasing numbers of Snipe too with at least 25 counted this afternoon. Still good numbers of Ruff scattered around the site with c30 birds, also 200 Black-tailed Godwit, 400+ Lapwing and at least 2 juvenile Little Ringed Plover.
There were 3 Yellow Wagtail (2 ad, 1 juv) again from Ron Barker this afternoon. A juv Cuckoo was seen again on the edge of the reserve near the community reed bed walk this afternoon.
A juvenile Marsh Harrier was seen again, along with several sightings of Sparrowhawk today and the usual Common Buzzard and Kestrel
The pair of Common Tern on Wood end marsh are still feeding the 2 juveniles, also another adult present.
Up to 4 Little Egrets and 15+ Grey Heron
