Arundel Wetland Centre is open every day of the holiday season, except Christmas Day. Being on our wetlands has been proven to reduce stress and increase wellbeing. So why not bring the whole family along to escape the seasonal hustle and bustle? A day out in wetland nature is a valuable chance to be together and enjoy a different kind of festive experience.
Enjoy a relaxing walk in wide open spaces with plenty of fresh air to see little egrets, grey herons and cormorants fish the lagoons. Book a boat ride to look for flashy kingfishers making their rounds along the reedbed channels and wildlife hides.Shelducks, pochard, and tufted ducks in jewel toned plumage are wintering on the water while secretive snipe and water rails skulk the reedbeds. Then the majestic marsh harriers arrive in the afternoon for the evening roost. Stunning!
The wetland centre closes early (at 2pm) on Christmas Eve but we are open 10 am – 4.30 pm every day (except Christmas Day).
