Holiday hours in December
Arundel Wetland Centre is open every day in December, except for Christmas Day, to allow visitors to enjoy vibrant family days out or peaceful moments, away from the hustle and bustle, this holiday season.
For Christmas Eve Sun 24 Dec we are closing at bit earlier - at 2 pm - to allow our staff ample time to get home to family and friends to celebrate Christmas Day.
Our WWT gift shop and the Water’s Edge Café are open every day except Christmas Day, too. The gift shop is open until 2 pm on Christmas Eve to buy any last minute stocking stuffers. Have someone who’s hard to buy for or want to top up that present? Check out our new WWT gift cards now on sale in the shop. Or you may choose to give the wild gift of nature with a WWT membership to visit all year around. The hope of spring, the joy of long summer days and the spectacles of winter. What a gift!
The Water’s Edge Café will close at 1.30 pm on Christmas Eve and is open on the days our visitor centre is open. Try new treats like vegan Biscoff toffee cake, shortbread Santa face biscuits and vegan mince pies. For a festive treat try a flavoured shot in your latte!
In December there are some changes to our Wetland Discovery Boat Safari. On Dec 2-3 & Dec 9-10 boats not running due to Sail to Santa event
Boat times for December:
- Dec 1-15 Boats run 11 am - 3 pm.
- Sat 16 Dec - Jan 1st 10.30 am through 3.45 pm.
- Sat 26 Dec Christmas Eve last boat leaves at 1.30 pm as we close at 2 pm.
Connect with nature this holiday when you pop in to see your favourite Dalmatian pelicans, visit the hides in search of perching kingfishers or search the skies for marsh harriers arriving in the late afternoon. Thanks for supporting WWT through your visits this year.
