National Insect Week is coordinated by the Royal Entomological Society to promote awareness of the importance of insects in the UK and around the world. It is supported by more than 60 national partner organisations concerned about natural history, biodiversity and entomology, the study of insects.
Royal Entomological Society Director of Outreach and Development, Luke Tilley said: “Insects may be small, but they have a huge impact on the natural world. The range of activities offered will enable children and adults alike to explore the wonderful world of insects for themselves.”
Arundel Wetland Centre is fully accessible, has comfortable hides, buggy and wheelchair friendly pathways, a fully stocked cafe and gift shop and disabled and parent & baby facilities. Entry to WWT Arundel Wetland Centre is £11.95 per adult, or £32.10 for a family. The WWT are a conservation charity working to save wetlands for wildlife and people. Providing a fun and relaxing experience for you is just as much a part of their work as saving threatened species and habitats in the UK and around the world. The wetland centre is located just outside the town of Arundel on Mill Road at BN18 9PB and is open from 9.30am to 5.30 pm each day.
