Roadworks on Oct 4 & 28 still allow easy access to Arundel Wetland Centre
Roadworks on the Fitzalan Bridge section of the A27 begin on Oct 3.
There are two Sundays when the Fitzalan Bridge will be closed all day with a diversion in effect: Oct 4 and Oct 18.
This will not affect drivers coming to Arundel Wetland Centre from the direction of Worthing, who access the town via the Causeway roundabout. Traffic may be bit slower as some drivers avoid the closed section of the A27 by driving through the town of Arundel. Drivers not heading for Arundel are being diverted down the A280 and A259 to bypass the area.
Drivers from the direction of Chichester who are coming to Arundel Wetland Centre should take the A27 and drive through the town of Arundel, turning down Mil Road as usual.
On weekday evenings between Oct 3 through Oct 26 the section of the A27 between both of Arundel’s roundabouts will close at 8pm and reopen at 6 am on the following morning.
The resurfacing of Arundel High Street has been postponed until later in the year because it conflicts with the Fitzalan Bridge roadworks.
