Still mild!
The continuing warm weather has meant a good mixture of sightings last week. The most unseasonal has to be the juvenile Swallow mixing with Pied wagtails as they came into the reedbed to roost. Yesterday also produce our first murmur of Starlings with aro

Autumn changes
With all the leaves falling, but continued warmth their are some usual and more surprising sightings to be had at the moment. Bats are still be seen, even a Daubentons bat out and about at 4.30pm, closing time from the Ramsar hide. Also from here roosting

Arundel sightings
Duck numbers have taken a sharp rise the last few days with nearly 30 Shoveler, 50 Teal, 100 Gadwall, 30 Tufted duck and the usual Mallard. Snipe are becoming a more regular site from most of the hides and Water rail are squealing in most of the suitable

Osprey sightings!
We had a juvenile osprey hunting over the reserve on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week! The osprey over WWT Arundel snapped by Russell Tofts The buzzards and peregrines are showing above the hangar today.
