Accessibility during autumn and winter

During the colder months, the reserve can be wet and muddy so waterproof footwear is recommended. Those with limited mobility or using push wheelchairs may find traversing the Avenue and Saltcot Loaning unsuitable. Please call us on 01387 770200 for more info.

Latest Sightings - 30th June

We didn't see much activity on the Osprey nest yesterday, the torrential rain making one of the parents constantly have to cover the chicks to keep them warm and dry. Hopefully we will see more action today. Our IT and web departments are hoping to get the live stream on the website in the next couple of weeks, so watch this space. In the meantime why now pop down to the Centre for a coffee and watch them on our big screen?

The rain yesterday means the Avenues are quite wet, with some large puddles. Wellies or walking boots would be recommended.

A juvenile Tree Sparrow was on the bird feeders in the Peter Scott Trail this morning.

The Tawny Owl is back in its tree along the path to the Folly Hide.

Today's high tide is at 08:56  8.4m
