Monday August 22nd update
Big upturn in duck nos. yesterday, with over 1,000 Teal distributed between The Folly Pond and pools on the merse, where a male Marsh Harrier (different to the bird that has been around the last few weeks) reduced their numbers by one... Adult Peregrine also at the same time yesterday (around high tide), and Osprey hunting the tide-edge. Three Ruff were on Folly Pond as well yesterday but not showing today so far. Conditions similar today so let's hope for a repeat

The camera is online between 10am and 5pm daily.
The chicks have now fledged so are flying around the local area with their parents learning how to catch fish. They do return to the nest periodically to eat their catch so keep an eye out for them.
This year the chicks have been fitted with satellite tags so we will have a regular blog update as they make their migration south in a few weeks!
