Accessibility during autumn and winter

During the colder months, the reserve can be wet and muddy so waterproof footwear is recommended. Those with limited mobility or using push wheelchairs may find traversing the Avenue and Saltcot Loaning unsuitable. Please call us on 01387 770200 for more info.

Reserve Update Friday 10th June

Three ravens have decided that the platform out from Avenue Tower towards the Merse is the place to be this morning.

Our flock of Hebridean sheep have been moved up to the paddock next to the farmhouse garden to help us graze it down.  I am sure they would have come as a mighty surprise to the brown hare that had been hanging around there, although it was seen first thing this morning in corner field.

Today's high tide is at 17:03  8.4m
