Reserve update Wed Feb 10th

A beautiful bright, calm and crisp day. 14 Little Egrets today is a reserve record. The Flood Ground especially looks great in the low winter sun, with a good variety of duck in good numbers, wspecially Teal and Wigeon of course. Decent nos. of Whoopers and Barnacles as of recent days. The sought-after Snow Goose has been seen at Netherwood Mains, between here and Dumfries a short while ago; similarly there are a few smaller flocks of Whooper Swans off reserve giving an area total of over 200

Today's high spring tide is at 13:27, 10.0m
