Reserve Update Wednesday 12th October

Late update for the reserve today.  Plenty of Barnacle Goose activity around the reserve today, predominantly caused by overflying aircraft causing the birds to lift off the fields.  At least four leucistic birds have been observed within the different flocks.  The Whooper Swans continue to feed at the road end but some appear to be using the Folly Pond of an early morning.

Yesterday afternoon there was much excitement as the Green-winged Teal was thought to have been observed on the Folly Pond.  Keep your eyes peeled for this bird when you visit  the site.

Today's high tide 09:50, 7.7m
