Reserve Update Wednesday 1st November
Male Hen Harrier was spotted quartering some of the fields next to Avenue Tower this morning. The past couple of days have been a bit of a raptor fest with regular sightings of Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Merlin, Peregrine and Sparrowhawk. The Hybrid Barnacle Goose is once again close up feeding in the Lochar Field next to Avenue Tower. Four Bullfinches were in the hawthorn trees down the Avenue, not a rarity but definitely not a common occurrence around here. Lapwing, Black-tailed Godwit, Curlew and Ruff are feeding in the Newfield fields. A few more named Whooper Swans are back in so please see below for details.
