Around Caerlaverock, Tuesday 27th Oct

The Kingfisher continues to show from time to time, catching fish in front of the Back Pond Hide

Single male Green-winged Teal now seems well established on the Folly Pond, in the company of several hundred of his European cousins

Whooper Swans are starting to establish at the feeds now, with over 50 present at today's 11:00. No young present but three families have been present recently. A late breeding season (by about 3 wks) in parts of Iceland may account for the relative lack of young so far

Today's high tide is at 11:42, 9.9m
