A Quilt for all Seasons

On Monday 7th January at 10am, the Loose Thread Quilters will be showcasing their latest collection of quilts entitled "A Quilt for all Seasons” at Castle Espie Gallery.
Joyce Forsythe a member of the Loose Thread Quilters highlighted, “Inspiration for the exhibition of quilts came from the seasons throughout the year. The quilts were initially done for a specific wall, and we are now glad to have the exhibition on show at Castle Espie”.
“Loose Thread Quilters” is a small group of active quiltmakers drawn from all over Northern Ireland. Since our formation in 1996, their aim has been to promote the practice and art of patchwork, appliqué and quilting for both the traditional quiltmaker and the contemporary fabric artist. The membership is drawn from across Northern Ireland and covers a wide range of abilities from beginners to tutors of the craft, but all are united by a common love of colour and fabric.
The exhibition will run from Monday 7th January to 28th January and the doors are open from 10am to 4.30pm. There is no cost to visit Castle Espie gallery.
