Easter Weekend: Build a Bug Hotel
Get stuck in to help our team create a brand-new bug hotel for Castle Espie.
Time: 2-4pm. Drop-in session, no need to book.
Best suited for ages 7+.
Building a bug hotel is a great way to help insects like ladybirds, bees and woodlice. It offers them shelter, protects them from predators, and gives them a safe space to raise their young. All of this helps to boost biodiversity and create nature-bursting habitats.
At this drop-in session, have a go at stacking pallets, gathering natural materials from the woodland or making the hotel extra comfy by adding sticks, leaves and more. All tools will be provided and our team will be on hand to guide you.
You’ll even pick up some top tips for how you can make your own snug-as-a-bug hotel at home!
