Inge Ferguson exhibition
Inge was born in Colchester, Essex in 1962. Art has been a lifelong interest. She studied English and Art in the eighties, first at Colchester’s Sixth Form College and then at Leeds University.
Whilst Inge has always made art, it is in recent years, having joined Kilmood Art Club in retirement, that she has started to exhibit and sell her work, at WWT Castle Espie and in Bangor and Killyleagh. This is her first solo exhibition.
Inge’s principal subjects are the natural world: the flowers, trees and birds to be found in her garden and the landscapes surrounding her home in rural County Down. Her artistic inspirations are many and various, but she has a particular love of the greats of Post-Impressionism and Fauvism, whilst also appreciating abstract art.
Inge works in many media, with a strong current focus on mixed media and monoprinting.
