Amazing giant LEGO® brick animals at WWT London Wetland Centre

Escape the festive frenzy with a visit to see our giant LEGO brick animals in the magical setting of this award winning nature reserve. This winter the world’s most popular toy will bring families closer to nature at WWT London Wetland Centre.
There are eleven wetland animals made from the world’s most popular toy for you to spot, alongside some of their real life cousins, at this attraction in Barnes, south west London.
The frog took an amazing 244 hours to build with an incredible 75,000 LEGO bricks. So if you are getting your own LEGO® set for Christmas come and be inspired!
The giant LEGO brick sculptures will be at London Wetland Centre from 17 December to 28 January. Visitors will be able to enjoy the trail of individually-designed LEGO brick characters, some inspired by real species at WWT London Wetland Centre. Included are an otter, a NeNe - the world’s rarest goose - a kingfisher and a dragonfly.
David Green, General Manager, said “It’s amazing to see these spectacular LEGO brick characters sitting alongside our wildlife here. We had some of these sculptures here last year and visitors of all ages loved seeing them. The LEGO brick trail is a fun way of putting the spotlight on some really important species, many of which are endangered.”
As well as following the trail visitors can join drop-in sessions most weekends to create their own LEGO brick frog-and-fly to take home. £5.00 per kit.
There is no extra cost to meet the giant LEGO brick animals at London Wetland Centre, the trail is included in the admission price.
WWT London Wetland Centre is a 105 acre wetland visitor centre in Barnes, southwest London, an international award-winning visitor attraction and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It is home to a wide range of wildlife species including birds, water voles, bats and amphibians. Facilities include six wildlife hides, Water’s Edge Café, Observatory, a gift shop and free car park. The Centre also has adventure play areas for children. Wetland Centres are easy, safe places to enjoy the wonders of wetland wildlife and a great way to have a taste of the wild without having to get your feet muddy.
