Wildlife sightings for 28th September 2020
More autumn migrants this morning including Skylark, Chaffinch and Meadow Pipit. Bittern found again later in the afternoon

22 Chiffchaff - south route, sheltered lagoon, wildside
1 Redpoll - wildside
42 Wigeon - sheltered lagoon, reservoir lagoon
127 Gadwall - site count
1 Buzzard - high over site pm
1 Peregrine - high over site with Buzzard pm. Chasing off crows at high altitude
1 Bittern - main lake N shore pm
1 Kingfisher - scrape
1 Kestrel - wildside
Dragonflies: (late September) Common Blue Damselfly, Emperor Dragonfly, Willow Emerald Damselfly, Common Darter, Ruddy Darter, Migrant Hawker (photo below)
Wildflowers: (late September) Bird's-foot Trefoil, Yarrow, Purple Loosestrife, Flowering Rush, Field Scabious, Devil's-bit Scabious, Wild Carrot.
Reptiles: (19th September survey) Slow worms (11 juveniles, 25 female, 2 male); 2 Grass snakes; 2 Common Lizard.
