Calm before the storm.
Still 2 Little Stint and 4 Curlew Sandpiper viewed from the Ron Barker Hide. Other waders included 60+ Ruff, 600+ Lapwing, 10+ Snipe and Little Ringed Plover. An early sighting of possible Buff-breasted Sandpiper was never confirmed.
Plenty of raptor action with 5+ Common Buzzard, 3 Marsh Harrier, Peregrine, 2 Sparrowhawk and 2 Kestrel.
Over 200 Pink-footed Geese this morning. Kingfisher from the RB late afternoon.
Hopefully a few keen eyes will turn something up tomorrow as the fast moving atlantic depression arrives early in the morning.
