Dowitcher showing well

The Dowitcher performed very well on the Mere at closer range than usual until early afternoon, Dowitcher photos by Tony Disley

The Long-billed Dowitcher spent the morning into early afternoon showing very well at close range on the Mere from the first screen just past the In Focus shop. Also a single Greenshank, 25+ Ruff, 150+ Snipe, 1000+ Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Green Sandpiper, Redshank and 600+ Lapwing on site.


A juvenile Marsh Harrier was seen along with an adult Peregrine as well as the usual Buzzard, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk sightings.

Up to 2 Kingfisher were showing from the Ron Barker Hide.
