Friday update
Lots of waders about at the moment, with Wood Sandpiper and Spotted Redshank (in breeding plumage) new in today, adding to the Green Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plovers, Avocets and at least 500 Black-tailed Godwits already present on Woodend Marsh.
Cuckoo calling again in the trees alongside the Canoe Safari, and seen flying into the reeds where Reed Warblers and Cetti's Warblers have been very vocal for the past couple of days.
On the Mere, 3 pairs of Common Terns, 2 with chicks and one on eggs.
From the Harrier hide, both Great Crested and Litlle Grebes can be seen with chicks.
A Hobby was seen yesterday from the United Utilities hide.
