Garganey again
Drake Garganey again on Woodend Marsh, two drakes on Sunley's Marsh this afternoon. Also there 10 Avocet, 6 Redshank, 2 Oystercatcher, Dunlin and Black-tailed Godwit.
Two Common Tern on the Mere, Also there 3 Little Ringed Plover, Common Sandpiper, 6 Oystercatcher, 12 Avocet.
Two Cuckoo Reed Bed / Canoe Safari area.
A Garden Warbler near the Kingfisher Hide was new for the year.
Big influx of House Martin with 15+ feeding in a mixed flock with Swallow and a few Sand Martin.
At least two Med Gull, an adult on Vinson's and an immature on the Mere.
Marsh Harrier, possibly a passage bird this afternoon. Three Buzzard, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk also seen. Also reported a Red Kite.
Wheatear out on Langley's Fields and a few Corn Bunting singing on territory around the reserve perimeter. Pair of Bullfinch by the Sewage Works.
Although slightly subdued in the cooler conditions this morning, Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Whitethroat, Reed and Sedge Warbler were all in song.
