Latest Sightings
On the mere this week, we have observed 2 Oystercatcher, 20 Snipe, 4 Marsh Harrier, 1 Buzzard, 2 Great Black-Backed Gulls, 1 Great White Egret, 12 Cormorants, 5 Shoveler and 1 Tufted Duck.
There have been around 60 Black-Tailed Godwits present today.
You can also see around 100 Whooper Swans every day from Discovery hide, as well as Mute Swans, Greylag Geese, Wigeon, Pintail, Mallard, Coot and Shelduck.
At Ron Barker hide, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Kestrel, 1 Hen Harrier, 1 Kingfisher, 1 Little Egret and 2 Bullfinch were spotted.
On the nature trail, there have been Greenfinch, Goldfinch and Goldcrest.
4 Roe Deer were also seen yesterday on owl marsh field, behind the reeds, visible from the Kingfisher and Ron Barker hides.
The Pink-Footed Geese are sitting on ploverfield behind the mere, although you may occasionally see a few closer to the bank.
