Sunday's Sightings
Two drake Garganey on Woodend Marsh then one flew towards Vinson's/Sunley's.
White Wagtail on Woodend also Little Ringed Plover, Ringed Plover, Black-tailed Godwit, Oystercatcher, Avocet, Lapwing.
A Merlin this morning is one of our latest records. A possible Hobby was seen but not confirmed.
Common Sandpiper song flighting around the edge of the Mere. Also there, pair of Common Tern, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 10 Avocet.
Oystercatcher with two chicks on Sunley's Marsh, viewed from the Ron Barker Hide.
Plenty of Shelduck and Mallard, smaller numbers but obvious of Gadwall, Shoveler, Teal and Tufted Duck. A few Pochard and Wigeon and a single female Pintail.
Cuckoo calling Reed Bed/Canoe Safari.
