Breeding Barn Owls and other birds

Three pairs of Barn Owl nesting at Martin Mere this year. Two broods of 4 chicks currently and this nest with 6 eggs.

Plenty of other birds to keep the WWT conservation team in data with ringing of Avocet and Black-headed Gull chicks.

Great-crested Grebes are sittng on eggs, also Common Tern returning for the 3rd year. Oystercatchers have a chick out on Vinson's Marsh.

Other reports today included Little Gull 2nd Cal, Cuckoo calling out on the Reed Bed Walk this morning. Bullfinch near the Janet Kear Hide.

Stoat and Weasel seen along the Nature Trail.
