Earlier today we conducted our monthly survey of wetland bird species (Webs). This months count is as follows:

We are also still be graced with the presence of A Snow Goose and 2 Barnacle Geese. Both of which are rare visitors to the site. They can often be seen on the main mere amongst the Pink Footed and Greylag Geese. A Tawny Owl has been showing well close to the Ron Barker hide, be sure to look up amongst the trees as you approach, We have also be hearing reports of a Bearded Tit calling amongst the reedbed walk. Lastly our winter Thrush visitors are returning, flocks of Redwing have been close to Janet Kear.
