Latest sightings

The Ruddy Shelduck, likely an escapee, was seen again today on the Mere and in the Grounds. Plenty of young birds have fledged over the last two weeks, keep an eye out for fledgling black-headed gulls with their patchy juvenile plumage.

Plenty of young birds have fledged over the last two weeks, keep an eye out for fledgling black-headed gulls with their patchy juvenile plumage. Lapwing and Avocet chicks are also visible on Woodend Marsh but none have fledged yet.

Great crested grebes can be seen from the harrier hide and on the Mere.

28 Black-tailed Godwits were recorded from Ron Barker.
