Little Stint

A Little Stint was present on Woodend Marsh today, viewable from the United Utilities hide with a flock of about 20 Dunlin. Also from United Utilies, a Whinchat was reported this morning.

Elsewhere on the reserve, a Cetti's Warbler showed well near the Kingfisher hide, the Cuckoo showed regularly all day between the Reedbed and the trees to the side of the Harrier hide.

2 Marsh Harriers were seen today, and 14 pairs of Avocets are now nesting on the Mere, where a Great Crested Grebe has been showing very closeup in front of the Discovery hide / In Focus shop area
