Latest Sightings

It really has felt like spring is upon us this week, as the sun continues to shine on the mere. An influx of Avocets (31 mere, 32 from Gordon Taylor) and Oystercatchers (50+ main mere) also highlights the changing of the seasons.

Look out for their white wing tips, as opposed to the Black-Headed Gulls, black wing tips. Great White Egret, Black Tail Godwits, Wigeon, Pintail, Mallard, Marsh Harrier and a Sparrowhawk were also spotted on the mere this week.
