Latest sightings
We are still closed to the public but the staff and volunteers are still onsite feeding the swans and carrying out habitat management works. This week at the dawn count we had 1142 whooper swans and 2432 pink-footed geese. Still lots of ducks coming to the feeds including 500 shelduck, 300 pintail, 200 wigeon, 61 ruff, 600 mallard. On the reserve there are still plenty of marsh harriers with up to 4 seen at once, and 5 stonechats.
