Latest Sightings
This week we took part in the Big Garden Bird Watch at the Janet Kear hide. With a total of 20 species we saw: 7 Blue tits, 6 Great tits, 15 Goldfinches, 10 Greenfinches, 14 Chaffinches, 1 Redpoll, 4 Blackbirds, 1 Coal tit, 1 Dunnock, 3 Robin, 1 Treecreeper, 10 Long-Tailed tits, 2 Greater-Spotted Woodpeckers, 1 Willow tit, 3 Wood pigeons, 2 tree sparrows, 1 Wren, 4 Mallards, 4 Moorhens, 1 Kingfisher.
On the reserve, there have been barn owls, great white egrets and a tawny owl. There have also been fieldfare and redwing around the carpark, along with a kestrel.
