The wetland centre is open to the public starting today, unfortunately hides are not open due to current government restrictions. However, there is still plenty of wildlife to be seen on the reserve.Plenty of waders are beginning to breed on the reserve at the moment, with the screaming calls of oystercatchers heard frequently. Other waders include 39 lapwings building nests in our cattle-grazed fields, around 70 avocets on Woodend Marsh, and at least one pair of curlew.

On the reedbed walk listen for water rails and cetti's warblers and look out for marsh harriers.
